![]() ![]() Label in a command window shows the correct volume label, so it's only explorer who can't read the volume label. I hope you have a real solution to this annoying problem (and not: "format the drive and restart from backup") That's even worse, because it proves that Panda does not return the system to the state it was in before. I have uninstalled Panda, but I am still unable to rename the drives, even after rebooting. The disks (6 of them) range from 1 TB to 3 TB I am owner of all and every file and subfolder on all the drives I am local administrator and domain admin It would be nice if someone at Panda would seriously look into this problem instead of automatically assuming that it's someone else fault. I know that dozens of users have complained about this and I also know that Panda obstinately denies that there is a connection between usb vaccine and the name change. However, in computer management/disk management, the original name is still present.Īlso, when you select Tools/optimize, the real name is shown. It's impossible to change the name again to something useful. I have administrator rights and I am owner of the disk and all subfolders. In windows 8.1, when you vaccinate a USB drive, the name is automatically changed to "Local Disk". ![]()
